Fotonovela in digital collage and matte painting

With its fantastic look, the magazine follows the line of old photographs retouched, colored and mounted on a light table, which  received interference from hand painting. The artisanal means used in the past resulted in a peculiar aesthetic that inspired us to create a new version that plays with the cliches of photo albums and with the typical exaggerations of tele and photo-novelas.

The project also gave us the opportunity to delve into the universe of the absurd, parodying the addiction to the "artificial", so common even today in famous Mexican telenovelas. Shameless merchandising could not be left out. Irresistible!!!  We couldn't help but seize the opportunity to merge the boundaries between reality and fiction, where the two are indistinguishable.
